Flag poles and bases: which hardware do you need?
A flag graphic is only half the order. The hardware decides where and how you can use it.
Ground stake
A spike you push into grass or soil. It is the right choice for lawns, parks and dealerships with soft ground. It does not work on pavement.
X base (cross base)
A flat base for hard surfaces such as concrete, tile or indoor floors. It is portable and quick to set up. Add a weight so it stays upright in wind.
Water bag
A bag you fill with water and place over the arms of an X base. It adds weight without making the flag heavy to ship, and you empty it before moving.
Pole sizes and sections
Poles come in sections that slot together, and in different heights. Pick the pole that matches the flag size, and choose a sturdier pole for taller flags or windy sites.
Which one should I choose?
Soft ground: ground stake. Hard ground or indoors: X base with a water bag. If you use the flag in more than one place, order both.
